Report Overview
According to new research from IAB about Social Nets on Internet, Facebook is the bestknown social network with 87% and the favorite by 50% of the people surveyed. Tuenti is the second most known by 62% of the people surveyed and the favorite one of 24%.
- Heavy Users of social networks show a preference for FaceBook according to 59% of the answers of the people interviewed. And they differ from others in making use of social networks to look for ideas to spend their spare time, the use of applications and available games in the Network.
- The so-called Medium-Users prefer the use of Tuenti, according to 29% of the answers.
- In addition, Light-Users, show a preference for the use of YouTube due to the fact that
this is the social network used with more frequency. - In relation to the age segmentation, Tuenti is the social network most known and
frequently visit by the segment age of 18 to 24 years old. - Facebook is the social network most visited by the rest of segments, especially by users
in an age range of 25 to 30 years old. - Facebook has 6 millions of registered users in Spain. (June, 2009/Facebook product and
international marketing department) - YouTube has over 7.8 million registered users in Spain.
